If any of you guys with the epowerrevser would like to give me your opinions on how you like it, that be great. I have read alot of stuff on the ehydro but haven't heard much for the powerrevser people.

To my knowledge, I don't think any of us have a 4000 Ten Series tractor with an epower reverser. This post has been sitting for a good while and I did not want to see it go unanswered in some way. A buddy of mine sells John Deere equipment and tells me that most folks opt for the ehydro mainly for it simplicity and ease of use. Customers of his who get the epower reverser are Ag farmers and users who primarily use the tractors for front loader duty and backhoe applications. On the 4310 the ehydro is a $2400 option and $1200 on the 4410. Many customers do not have a demanding use for ehydro and the epower reverser offers a big savings for them. I like the ehydro especially for very slow creeper drive type use with the pto tiller and moving my boats and trailers around in tight spaces. For mower and brush hog duty, the epower reverser would do just fine. Alot is also just plain old personal preference. If you haven't already, demo each type of transmission and see for yourself which suits you best. Even though I am not an epower reverser owner, hope this was of some help. ....

Traded my 4300 hydro for a 4610 power reverser just last month. Only have about 18 hours on the new one, so don't haven't really formed an opinion whether I like it better than the old hydro or not. My wife definitely does not like it...therefore I'm getting more butt in the seat tractor time than I used to. Couldn't keep her off the old one. The only difficulty I'm having is mental agility...that is, transposing the old foot action to the left hand power reverser lever. Have done okay moving round bales and doing loader work...just have a slow reaction time if I don't keep it in the front of my mind. BTW, the 4610 is MUCH more of a tractor than the 4300 was. ....

I have a JD4510 with 12/12 power reverser. My decision to buy this combination was economics. I wanted the biggest JD with implements that I could afford. With that said, I would prefer an ehydro if money was not a consideration. I find that after 230 hrs, that I still need to think about using the PowRev. At times, I find myself using both the clutch and the PowRev at the same time. No need for that!! I also do not like to use the PowRev when using the rotary cutter at PTO engine speeds in B range. Maybe it is all mental, but it seems like abuse to be "power shifting" at 2600 RPM. I will lower the RPM some before shifting directions. A hydro transmission would be much easier on the drive train in this application. I think it works great in all applications that don't require a constant high RPM and constant direction changes. ....

Thanks for everyones help. I see alot of discussion on the Hydro but the epowerreverser are a quite group.
After much debate, I went with the Kubota 3830 HST.I still awaiting on delivery at this time, the tractor made it to the dealer but still waiting on the Front end loader.
